ok guys, changed my rear shocks last night as the original were knackered and now im considering changing the front does anybody know what the procedure entails. I'm keeping the original springs as its mainly a shopping cart that gets to go fishing up at Carnarvon once a year. I've got a set of jack stands and heaps of hand tools etc. Thanks Ray |

Back off top nut (accessible from under bonnet) jack front up, stands in, remove wheels, remove bottom bolts (2, behind wheel hub) remove top nuts, pull/hammer like fark to get seized strut out of top mount. |

no jack up, stands under chassis wheels off jack under the bottom wishbone on the side you wish to work on and jsut take the pressure up, no need to lift the car undo brake line retaining clip on strut undo top strut mount (dont slide out jsut yet) undo 2 lower strut mounts, pry strut from hub, hub will flop around but thats ok pull down on strut to free top mount (use force if its a bit stuck, wont matter if you hurt the old strut) refit is reverse |

I was going to do a write up when I replaced mine the other week but It's that easy I didn't think it would need one, It's pretty much as royce describes and very straight forward. Besides the brake retaining clip, It's just 3 bolts. If you have camber bolts, don't forget which hole they came out of. The use of a rattle gun to get the top strut nut off is very handy. Mine were a bit tricky to refit into the top strut mount but a little bit of grease inside the strut mount tube did wonders. |

If the strut won't come out of the top take the 3 nuts off and take the top mount out on the strut still. Let soak in diesel for 10 min and it should come off easy then Try not to let the hub fall down and pull on the brake line to much. Helps if u have a second set of hands |

That's way too much work, I just put a screw driver in and gave it a tap with a hammer |

When I took my original struts out I ended up having to cut them out of the mounts (trashed one mount |
