Hey,
Just wondering who has done a jimny power steer conversion and what parts are needed? Is it easier then the vit power steer route (using a bent kit)? Does the steering box bolt straight to a wt chassis?
Thanks

I put a Jimny powersteering box in my coily. Should be the same as your WT. It bolted straight in. The hydraulic return hose needed to be shortened a bit. But it's low pressure so it's easy to do without special fittings. I used a Vit pump because I had one already fitted to my 1.6. But the Jimny pump would have been easy enough if I fabbed a mount. Wasn't too difficult at all to be honest

If you have access to a complete G13BB jimny p'steer kit then go for it. If you use the M13a jimny p'steer, you will need to fab a new pump bracket.

Otherwise, the BenT Kit is perfect if you have access to vit p'steer. It locates the box as far forward as possible allowing extra clearance between the tie rod and drag link with RUF. The only issue with the vit p'steer setup is that the pitman arm is very flat, and can cause moderate bump steer with lifts over 2".

You can buy drop pitman arms but they are 15mm longer aswell which steels the extra clearance between tie rod and drag link that the BenT kit delivers.

Catch 22.

Pete

Buy a Vitara drop pitman from Lowrange ( if they have any in stock)

yep. Same spline. Although I assume you read the other bit about the dropped arm being slightly longer?
