Who on here has had dealings with Calmini??? so far i personally have found their service to be thus piss poor and im just wondering if anyone else has had problems with them. i have been waiting over 3months for a lift kit for my vit... i have spoken to them on no less than 10 occasions over this time and they just keep assuring me that 1 - the kits aren't finished being built yet. and 2 - that they will sought it out.... i don't know if its the guy im dealing with dicking me around or if its just a complete lack of organisation??? HELP?!? |

4wdUSA in perth sell calmini gear - they dont have a great reputation either, but its maybe worth a try??? I got my calmini gears from them and they arrived quite fast and he hardly put a markup on it which was great. Others have had bad experiences though. |

maybe try sourcing it through low range offroad. i have dealt with sean there before and he was a great help when i ordered my skid plates. may be easier dealing with him than calmini directly. he might also have a kit in a warehouse or something rather than waiting for calmini to build one. |

I have spoken to a bloke at Calmini through email. I have sent a request to order the 3" super articulation kit. He has replied saying there is a 2-3 week wait on these kits as they are in high demand. He asked that I email back with my details and he will contact me when they are back in stock. This was about 2 weeks ago now. I want my lift already!!! |

If calmini are saying they aren't ready, the Lowrange, 4WDUSA, snake etc will not be able to get them either. |

Maybe then after that you have grounds to complain.. but untill you've given him the time he requested I dont think its fair to have a go at him because of your own impatience. I've been dealing with Jake and he has been a pleasure to deal with, Simple things like measuring springs, giving advice on load carrying and estimated times of delivery and even assisting and advising on postage and taxes. I am aware of friends of mine having issues with delivery times or lack of contact but at the end of the day they are many time zones away and none of said friends have been disappointed by the products they bought. i got an anvil housing straight from calmini. Very quick and easy to deal with, and postage was a hell of a lot cheaper than what lowrange post for. Oh and i mentioned i was a big fan of stickers and they threw in a sticker kit for nothing as well. But i guess what i wanted was in stock |

I purchased my roofrack direct from Calmini. Apart from the fact there was like a 6 week wait before it came back in stock, Jake was great to deal with and upfront about it from the start. Very fast email replies and shipping was very quick once it was back in stock. I'd have no problems buying from them again. Completely understand how frustrating it is waiting for something you want now though, the 6 week wait for the roofrack almost killed me |

I have been waiting since the start of December for my Kit to "Come into Stock" or "finish production" yes jake has been a pleasurable polite person to deal with. but theres more to being a good salesman than being polite and easy to deal with. 3 Months is Rediculous time to wait for 1 kit to be fabricated. I understand that yes it is a very popular kit over there. but at the end of the day i was told "no more than 4 - 6 weeks. that means my order at longest should have been Jan 15th 2011... it is now Monday the 7th of March... and i haven't even been asked about payment... I want this freaking kit, i have the money sitting in my account ready to go... this is Bollocks. hence, Ginds my gears... i go buy the philosiphy that teeth need to be brushed every now and then |

Typical customer response For all you know he is waiting for whoever makes their springs who keep saying yeah not long now cupla weeks or the shock manufacturer saying yeah the conatiner will get unloaded tomorrow for 3 months straight. And cause the dude is too polite to say yeah look we are waiting on the wankers at the spring shop to get off their fatasses and make more springs all he can do is keep passing it along, I have to deal with being the poor prick in the middle all the time, its not like they can jsut chop to another manufacturer |

As an on road sales rep for Wurth I too deal with this daily. I be as honest as possible without making anyone look bad i.e. myself or the company. It is tricky at times but always try to leave the customer in the loop and satisfied with your response. If it is going to be past the delivery time frame quoted to the customer I always call and explain what the hold up is. If it is dispatch or the manufacturing side that won't give me any answers i'll tell the customer this and reassure them that I am following it up and will be in contact as soon as possible. The key to any drawn out situation or any that has inconvenienced the customer is COMMUNICATION. end sales training...lol |

Wheres my lift kit already? Do you have a spare one Ron? I didn't mean to sound obnoxious or like I was having a go at you or anyone, I apologize if i did. All I was saying is that even though companies should over quote(so if he expects them in 4 week tell the customer 5 or 6 weeks) but they dont, so Always allowing teh time they state is a good way of not being let down straight away, because as you know, this will cause people to feel negativity towards the company from day dot. Ans I havent got a spare kit yet, i havent decided on whether to go the calmini, I've been trying to suss out the Rock crawler range and a few other ranges. stocker wrote: mr_ron wrote: FullyZooked wrote: I have spoken to a bloke at Calmini through email. In your case I too would be very upset and probably would have sought other options, if there are any. maybe you could upgrade to cromo axels while you wait Hope they sort there time issues out, however I'm in customer service myself and deal with alot of corporations, councils and government included and often they themselves dont actually know how long they have to wait and they too get the same 'another 2 weeks max' line, over and over again.. So they just pass it onto me, As previously said.. Ron Ron |
