ok... so my girls rear main seal is mcscrewed and bleeding like a wounded bull... so i thought to myself i'll change the clutch whilst im there...

are there any little funny tips or tricks to changing it i noticed it doesn't have an exterior actuator arm like my Vit...

Also was thinking of putting and Exeedy Sports tuff clutch in... but im definitly open to suggestions...

You are meant to put it in the middle of the trailing arms, not the rear main.

the selector is rubber mounted to the box, you WILL not get the box out with out removing it, the cat converter has to come off, drain the oil from the box ( fill it back up before you put the cat back on or you will spill g/oil into the heat shield), the box will want to stay on the eng due to the locating stud's, so wriggling it vigorously is needed.
Once you have it away form the eng, jack up the front of the eng to alaow enough room to bring the bell housing past the pressure plate, they do fit out, no matter hat other's may say here, I have personally had 100+ g/box's out of jim's..

Once, & only once I had to unbolt the transfer & move it back, can't remember why I had to, but did..

Vmx 80 oil to replace the shit you drop out to..

thanks very much Steak_knife your help is much obliged. theres no procedure for filling up the Gearbanger and that Suzuki Dealerships are the only ones on earth capable of such a task... is there???... the (gayest) manual (onearth) says there is... i tend to think otherwise

i found out recently that a standard jimny clutch is the same pressure as an aftermarket sierra HD clutch, and that the aftermarket standard duty sierra clutch (less pressure than standard jimny) is also used as the aftermarket jimny standard duty clutch...

so - fork out on an original jimny clutch for maximum pressure, or get an aftermarket HD clutch which will have slightly less pressure than your stock one.

lol literally straight out of the text... well without the brackets, says there is a procedure in which you must fill up the gearbox... now i know of one Izuzu that i've serviced which had a procedure to fill up gearbox that that was related to the gearbox having sealed bits... so it had 3 seperate compartments withing the gearbox itself....


So As for the question. still unanswered... is it just fill it up to the filler plug jobby? or do you have to measure so many milliliters etc...

... God i hate manuals... anyone up for a manual Bonfire...

Special instruction's, don't fill the heat shield of the cat...

I've never seen anything about filling the box in a jim, just a fill plug, but the manual does picture the cat not being there...
