Out 4wd the other day i coped some damage to the underbody. to be exact its the part that the front lower control arms attach to and the front diff sits onto with a bush. im assuming this common damage to vitaras as it is the lowest spot . Wonder how to best fix this as it is welded to the chassis. Could use some help guys .

cheers

Pics? There isn't much you can do apart from trying to straighten it & putting on some bash plates.

it will probably bend a lot easier than you think with a large hammer

on my old vitara i did the same thing but worse. it still drove ok, so i just hammerd it as straight as i could and hit it satin black. couldnt really tell it was there after that. always pissed me of though. itl be hard to bolt the plates up no because they use the captive nuts in that crossmember an i dare say they are folded on top of each other now.
