i have some sitting in my garage waiting to go on.
i noticed that the tread width on them are more like 205-210, but the side wall sticks out a fair bit.

I like them because on road they push the vehicle around less than a 10.5 tyre does, but they are still tall enough to give you some decent clearance.
Being an 85 profile means you probably get some sidewall flex in the corners but it doesn't seem to be as bad as I thought it would be.

ive thought about them before but what put me off is the amount of belts they run and the massive load rating most 235 85 16's have.
i wonder how they would go aired down??

I had the same reservations, and the belts might help keep them upright on the road. I haven't run much less that 15psi in these yet, I suspect I will have to drop a bit more air out of them than I would normally.

Tyres are also measured when they do not have the weight of the vehicle on them. so they will be bigger than what DAMO measured. calculator puts them at 31.7 inches tall.

that was measured with 'em on the zook. The difference might be just down to brand. Mine are Federal Couragia MT
