Hey guys, A friend is building a T-bucket hot rod of some description (I know next to nothing about it). Anyway he is after an LJ50 or LJ80 steering box as apparently they are commonly used for the purpose and are the ones used in the design he is following. He is having trouble finding one though and was wanting me to ask if firstly they are really that rare and secondly if they differ much from the sj steering box's? Thanks Dan |

LJ steering boxes move the arm along the lines of the chassis(front to rear) and fit inside the chassis rails. Getting hard to find good ones now. SJ boxes move at 90 degrees to the chassis rails (side to side) Landcruiser boxes also move the steering front to rear BUT they sit on the outside of the chassis rails and are much more common. 45 series I think from memory are the go. |

Thanks for that TZAR. So SJ is a no go then. I will let him know about the Landcuiser possibility. Dan |
