Dave at lindsays is a solid guy. great to deal with. Those others are retreads. I ran retreaded muddies on my zook for a number of years. soft compound muddies that worked really well in all conditions and cheap as fuck. I would give them a go if i was after pansy ass small tyres |

What is the difference between a retread and remould? A retread is a strip of rubber stuck onto the old tread face of a tyre. A remould is a high temperature and pressure process (much in the same way as original manufacture) of recasting of rubber onto the whole outside of the tyre from bead to bead on a pre tested tyre carcass Michelin and Bridgestone already do this to truck tyres and is a proven technology Remoulding a tyre reduces significant consumption of oil products and CO2 emissions compared with manufacturing new tyres, continuing the Tread Lightly philosophy adopted by recreational organisations, without sacrificing off road traction |
