My 91 sierra has just developed a new noise. It sounds like the muddies on the road when you are going about 80. It seems to me most prevalent when I am in third gear or above and it only happens when I have my foot on the accelerator, as soon as I pull my foot off it stops. Its no effecting performance at all so I'm not to worried, but I just want to make sure that my gear box is not about to go or something like that. Any ideas? |

Exhaust reverberation. My patrol does a similar thing at 2300rpm, sounds like a diff whine but its just the exhaust hitting a certain resonance. |

If its the bearings should I get then looked at now, or can I ride it out for a month or two? |

It probably has a landcruiser gearbox, that's a normal sound |

I usually just turn the stereo up to drown out any noises |
