I got myself a 3 piece soft top from MU and was wondering what everyone else does to stop water from pooling on the roof and the tonneau cover?

Nothing!! you just hit the top so the water goes over the windscreen.

In fact ill have to do that tomorrow morning.

Ive read some people put a pool noodle across. that may be done to stop it flapping as well.

I never did anything and now mine sags like hell. I have a arb space case in the back now that kind of props the back up. Maybe you could make up a bar that props the back up like a ute one?

i've solved this quite well:

sheet of MDF trimmed to about 80mm longer that the window frame to targa bar gap so it sits on top, and cut 50mm shorter each side than the door frames, then wrapped the whole thing in waterproof canvas using spray glue. - i used black canvas, you cant even see its on there - but that stops the bikini pooling very well.

tonneau - i've used some pine veneer slats, one near the rear door and one below the rear window, then in the middle a bar like you see on utes etc - this was made by BOGFROG on outers and makes a bit of a tent in the back forcing the water to run off. The pine slats stop pooling and make the water run off the sides.

The biggest problem is the velcro that joins the back window to the tonneau - i had Maria knock up a strap with some studs on it that goes from the top to bottom on the window, giving me essentially a vertical black stripe on the window - this is shorter than the window height so pulls the velcro up to a tent shape and stop water pooling or leaking through there.

I keep mine tensioned and park it in the carport...

You can see what i've done. Simply prop a bar across to create a ump. the water sheds wright o and doesnt pool. I once forgot to put the bar on and it pooled, the velcro gave way and my footwells became swimming pools

Apart from those with tin tops, does everyone have water leak in somewhere at somepoint when its raining???
Seems every zook with a soft top, or even those with fibreglass canopys still get water it.

yeh - over 90km/hr i get leaks from the top corners of the window frame where the softtop kinda acts as a funnel to the rain.. lol

Thats a different story.

My swb is as rainproof as i can get it.

Front air vent blanked off, front window frame resealed onto body, front window siliconed seal on, front corner and down side of front of door jam i have stick on foam for a seal, used with suzuki door seal. Now it just leaks sitting there, the water runs inbetween the door seal and the door jam, along the little canvas tab. Argh!

I did until I leaned under the steering wheel, up under the pedals, there is a rubber hose that had popped off, like a drain - pushed it back on and no wet feet!
