G'day guys

I have recently come across a vitara that has not been started in about 18 months. It starts pretty easy but is idling at a touch under 3000rpm. Once the engine is warm it still does not drop down.

Check out the attached picture. When i press down on the thing that the red arrow is pointing at it drops back down to a good idle but once i let go it spings back and start idleing high again.

any ideas what i could do to get it running properly

thats the choke pulled on massivley, that bit you push on, further down find the cannister with 2 water hoses going into it and and an adjsuter screw connected to that same piece, turn the screw till it opens that top flap and the revs drop

Pulled 2 hoses off and made sure they were not blocked. Seems like there is a piston that pushes out to turn the choke off. Looks to be seized. Any ideas on how to loosen it up again?
