Post subject:  Racing seat mounting bolts. What thread?

Hey all,

I'm trying to mount one of the Autotechnica seats pictured below. They are the ones autobarn/repco were selling cheap a while back and I know a few people on here have em.

I'm trying to figure out what bolts I need to mount the rails to the seat. The hole looks to be about 8mm sized but the standard M8x1.5 bolts I have lying around dont fit.

Does anyone here know what size and thread the mounting bolts need to be?

For the tech....they are going into a suzuki

I thought they came with bolts and spacer washers? I think my mates did..

Mine are same but different mounts.(saasbrand)
Standard High Tensile is M8x1.25.

Its an M8. Can't remember the thread pitch but it may have been 1.25....

yeah mine came with a M8 allen key headed bolts. I hate them with a passion and tried to put some M8 1.5's in there but the thread was different so maybe 1.25 like ben said.

Picked the seat up 2nd hand, hence no bolts. Must have been an M8x1.25 that I tried then :?

Do the holes look stripped? I wouldnt be surprised if some cawk has stripped them putting wrong bolts in, making the M8 hard to put in.
