ok so what i basically want to do is the simplest engine swap possible, as im pretty much over my 1.3. and would rather spend money on a swap than buy a second vehicle. what i was thinking is this... buy a cheap g16a with blown/cracked head or similar. using the 1.6 bottom end, use the head of mine and all other components ie carby inlet manifold exhaust etc. i dont run a body lift so was thinkin i could use the sump of the 1.3. basically dont want to go injection as id need to have the conversion done in a weekend. whats peoples opinions on this idea? will the power increase be worth the hassle? will the 1300 carby supply enough fuel etc?? or should i just drop in a full 1600 engine? |

No. Not IMO. will the 1300 carby supply enough fuel etc?? Yes. Might need a re-jet and tune though. or should i just drop in a full 1600 engine? YES!!! And if you have all the parts there before you start, and a few helpers, the G16B efi is a 1-2 day job. |

1.3 Vs 1.6 carby i prefer the 1.3 every time Bite the bullet and get a single point injected 1.6 at least you will regret the lack of power increase if you just do the 1.6 carby, they dont rev as good as the 16v 1.6 or the 1.3 personally i hate the characteristics of the 1.6 carb motor |
