What if you remove all the rust and then bog it up then put it on?

Would it stop it from further rust?

any rust you have now you need to remove totally

then it will help to prevent new rust forming, you still need to take care and wash and stuff

it is better than nothing, but it isnt perfect, go read up you will understand it better then

on a new car you will keep for a long time and use up the beach and stuff yes

Just a note from personal experience, those 'dioderised' fish oil sprays actually stink quite a lot if you plan to do some fish oiling yourself - if you go down that track - it does disappear after 3 months, however I copped headspins and nearly passed out a few times after using it.... yeh good fun...

bit of a grave dig from searching.

any one got anything more to add?

i have been told lanolin is better that fish oil because the fish oil is really watered down these days

i'm doing a fair bit of beach work now and want to look after the can as much as i can.

The best rust protection is proper cleaning when you get back from the beach...

I've got an old mate that swears by ormonoid. Not sure how that would work with beach type protection though.
