Fellas im running 34' treads on wide track diffs. now i know the cromo front axels and cv's are the go but what is out there for the back? the rig is going to be welded or spooled in the back and lockered in the front. |

There are some that you can get from low range, but i have seen them twist and so wouldnt go there. We are looking at Custom full floating Chromos at the moment. Also Joe Blow was talking about this i believe. |

yeah i found the calmini ones but there isnt much else. how often do the standards break with 33's to 34's? coz if people are putting cromos in the front they must be putting some pretty big stresses on the rear as well. |

The rears are pretty strong anyway. I run Bal 1.6, 33x12.5s, 6.5's, 3.7's on road with a welded rear, The only time i have snapped a longside rear axle was when the diff centre crownwheel bearing pushed out the side, Then the crownwheel dropped down and snapped the axle. I twist the splines of axles, but never snaps. Now your front axles are the same size as the rear.. There are no upsizes for the rear, but there is only meant to be improvements on strength. Id drive it and see how it goes. Ive got lux/bundys going under my lwb atm. They give me strength. The axles are huge compared.. |

I've never damaged a rear axle on mine....just go easy on the clutch dumps and you should be fine...or run an auto... |

I don't go easy on mine on road, 4x4 offroad i do, as i like a smooth ride. But im a hoon in 2wd..I go through centres, not axles. But i know people that break bigger rear axles on a vit with 29's.... and a sierra on 29's... They are uber rough on their cars but. It all depends on how you drive. You can break anything if you want to. |

running 33" jt2's on rock with a lockrite i have snapped 2 rears in half and have twisted 2 on my current rig with 31"s. Just get the standard rears cryo treated, im pretty sure this would be about as good as the U.S. ones. |
