Depends on what type of tyre you want, HT's AT's or muddies..

The maxxis 235's AT's on my Vit are a pretty good allrounder, comfortable onroad and not too bad off. Maxxis are very reasonably priced compared to to other's out there.

i reckon you cant go wrong with BFG KM2s... my uncle recently got them on his jimny and he reckons theyre brilliant on road (far better than his balding HT tyres) and even better offroad.

in a tyre that small and ultra agressive tread design is hard to come by, and even when you do, due to the smaller size its not as aggressive (less voidy) - so whats considered "extreme" in a 31" is less so in a 27"..

I would say don't spend more than you need if you plan on modding and fitting bigger tyres in the near futurem otherwise you are just wasting money.

Also, it depends on what type of off-road work you do and how often you do it.

KM2s are a good tyre, but pretty expensive if you don't need them, or will be taking them off in 6 months...

Yep i agree, the Maxxis are a very reasonably priced, good quality tyre, the AT 751 would meet your needs well !

i agree with everything thats said here. i will definitely be going the km2s for my next set of tyres, im currently using the A/Ts in a 215/75 and ive outdone a SWB cruiser on 33" bighorns in a bog hole.

and smaller tyres = smaller gaps between tread. although, any size increase or tread upgrade is still an advantage.

i was thinking of the km2 's but was quoted 285 a tyre so i just cant justify that i will go see the tyre shop today see what else they have to offer even a maxxis 753 m/t is 240 alot for a small tyre considering i got 33" simex's for my pootrol for 350 when i had it

Wrangler ATRs, everyone else has said what they have is the best to get so I may as well too

smaller tyres dont have smaller tread blocks, they dont make em all one size and then just shrink em in the drier or something
