I have a g13bb engine in my jimny and although still going strong I know it will need a rebuild down the track, having done 230000kms. My question is will forged pistons and rings/ rods from the g13b swift gti engine work in my engine?

What are you planning?

i'm pretty sure they do, i havent measured it myself but i get the impression that they are the same as gti ones and its the head that changes the compression (same pin diametre and valve cut out)

again... what are you doing? forged pistons are pretty heavy duty and probably conter productoive to a road engine.... the gti stock pistons rev up pass 7000rpm just fine

I just wanted a to build a good reliable engine, GTI pistons are probably going to be fine then. I was thinking of fitting a 4agze supercharger to it as well to get a little extra power. Always been a turbo man (Silvias etc) but I dont see how they would benifit a 4wd would just get me bogged as boost will hit to late.

From what I have been reading on the forums everything is the same between my engine and the GTI, except GTI has stronger internals and the twin cam head on it. Another option is the g16b but I just dont know if I can be bothered buying another tired engine that may only give me a fraction more power/torque.
