Thinking of building a Lotus 7 replica. Light weight is good for stuff like that.

I just wonder how much torque you could put through one in a 600kg vehicle and have it not shit itself completely. Or at all if possible haha.

good ol' lowcost.

There was something in the lowcost forum recently about legislation changing in qld again and to get your build registered with an engineer before september as its going to get even harder to do an ICV after that.

Ive been "thinking" about one too, for the past 10 years now..

I love the idea of a rear/mid mount rear wheel drive option, this way you can basically take a half cut of any small car and stick if at the back of your lowcost, hardest part is the gearshift link unless you go auto.

Personally I want to go electric.. ;) aah pipe dreams.

That's the one big drawback with the Sierra box, that's a pretty big gap between 1st and 2nd. Something to think about anyway.

Does anyone know anything about the Jimny 5 speed? I've never even seen one before. That should bolt up to the back of an M18 yeah? 8)

Can't have my lockers Stekky, they're too much fun on wet roads
