Hey guys,
Had issues getting my Jimny to engage 4wd while up at double island over the weekend.

It's a push button transfer model, and when pushed you hear the vacuum lines trying to engage ok, the light for 4wd flashes once, then nothing.

I couldn't see any obvious issues with the vac lines and didn't get any error beeps.

Any ideas would be great..

Cheers

Check the solenoid wiring underneath the car on the transfer case - the wires are quite poorly exposed and are easily snapped.

This is what happened to me anyway.

Vacuum leak's don't throw a warning beep.

If the pump can't get pressure with in a specified time it shuts off.

I will check the solenoid leads.

Steknig, any good ways to test whether its a vacuum issue then?
