Get a small can of WD40 and stick it in the glove box. Squirt the dizzy and plug leads before you get wet. If water does snuff it, often a quick squirt is all you need to get you going, but sometimes you need to open the dizzy cap, unplug every lead and wipe them dry.
Does not take much of a puddle to wet the Vitara. Happend to me hitting one unexpected wave on the beach. Snuffed it. a quick squirt of WD40 and i was under way again before my mates got back to me to se why I stopped. I'll get some silastic around the dizy leads one day.
