Does anyone know of a good place to get a 1.3 carbie engine, reconditioned in Sydney? I've heard you can get them for around 3 -$500 |

You might get a short motor, bottom end for that money if you did the work yourself , they are 90 to bore , pistons , rings , bearings and gasket set would be the rest. Your block might not need a bore , depends on how big your ridge is and you won't know until you pull the head off. They are a very simple motor to assemble and disassemble , See how you go , I went to St marys engine service and he was awesome , if you don't have a ridge they can use a bottle brush honer to clean up the bore as they don't take much out , whatever you do don't don't use one of those 3 blade hones as they taper the bore , Cheers Paul. |
