hey guys ive been searching for standard rear springs as im wanting to do RUF, im having real issues sourcing new ones, i want to use new ones as 2nd hand will most likely sag, however they way im goin im contemplating getting some and customising with different load beairng leafs i have avaliable. i found 3 places i can get new ones from but the price seems rather high, just shy of or well over 300 for a pair ... my questions are:

1. what have others used, new or 2nd hand
2. where did you get yours from
3. what price

also carry van rears, ive heard people use these aswell but am having the same issues trying to source any... ideas?

I used second hand rear's out of a wt and had them reset up 75mm. Took em into the spring works and cost me $100 Sweet!! Removed the 4 th leaf the little short one and the ride is fantastic. :D
Reset is the way to go up here anyway.
If I couldn't reset em I would have purchased ome rears and removed a couple.
cheers

Better if you can adjust the rear hanger at the same time. You don't want to rotate the diff forward (ie input shaft at greater angle from horizontal) when you do the RUF because that gives you negative castor which causes crap steering. I made up new hanger plates that dropped the rear mount about 15mm as well as moving it back, and my castor angle is actually slightly positive relative to stock (which is okay). I could get it spot on by making up 10mm longer shackles but am happy with it as is.

this is my exactl plan, might just have to settle with 2nd hand and customsise them abit to stop/reduce the possible sag.

Moph your set up is awesome i dont have the knowledge or skills to do such a good job haha. im hopefully going with the redrill method, gonna wait and see what fatzook comes up with his RUF kit aswell.

Skills? Knowledge? Me?!? Bwahahaha

I am the most unhandy person I know. My Zook was off the road for 5 months for me to make up a bullbar and do the RUF..... ;)
