very easy for a gearbox shop, normal home mechanic could do it taking there time, if your not into measuring clearences and precise work pay somebody

What series gears as stage 4 need the case ground , takes an hour to pull case out tops , 3 hours to strip change gears and reassemble , 1 1/2 to reinstall , so 6 hours , leave shifter hanging in boot and just undo from underneath , got some pics in my buildup , cheers Paul.

why did you put a 1.3L case in? Did you get the gear lever bush in on your old 1L case?

no i already bought a replacement transfer case then had the same problem with the second one (the 1.3lt) so i figured id ask round to see if it were common.....

Are you using VMX80 gear oil , that is the recommended one , done heaps of reduction gears and had no problems , Cheers Paul.

this thread is confusing
I think for the amount of money you would spend on a motor conversion/upgrade and crawler gears, you could just sell your current car and buy a different one that goes better.
