Need to rebuild carby on my 1 litre, am I best off rebuilding or getting a second hand one?? Do the carbys off a 1.3 fit onto the 1 litre.

I know you can get webber carbys etc. but dollars are very tight.

just rebuild it, kits can be had off ebay and they are easy as to do.

the 1 litre sidedraft carby works well and is reliable. the only time i've had trouble with mine is when dirty fuel goes through it, which you'd have problems no matter what carby your running.

The 1.3 carby is a Downdraft and it and/or it's manifold won't fit on a F10A.

As mentioned, the stock carby is fine. If you do want to go aftermarket, then a Japanese Hitachi "SU" type carb is the go. These were fitted to Datsun 1200s and 1400s from the 70's and 80's. A Datsun wrecker should be able to find one. You will need to modify the manifold or make an adapter as the mounting bolt pattern is different to the Suzuki carb.
