did he say that they got the immobiliser to bypass, or have they taped the old key to the computer??? He was always telling me that if he was to do it, he'd want it done right and have the computer's immobiliser bypassed... I know Sean never got the chance to properly investigate so it fell in a hole after he left, but Brian was still super keen due to the availability of the M15 versus the G16 and 13bb.

i've helped graft in 2005-06 subaru forester factory immobilser into a 1992 L series subaru along with the EJ25, was pretty straight forward trimming the loom down to the bare essentials with & immob control box wired in as factory & we just had to modify the antenna ring that sits around the ignition barrel on the forester so it would fit in the L series steering colomn & around the barrel. ordered 2 blank subaru transponder keys, had a proper automotive locksmith come out program & cut the keys... once done it fired first hit of the key & ran like a bought one, locksmith & keys was about $350 from memory.

So subey is back on the cards as a good engine  2.5 is a monster would prefer the latest chain driven flat fours
