Hi all. For a period of time the the 16b has had a low idle issue, but this was not all the time. Lately it has become worse and now stalls when not under acceleration. After heaps of reading and checking, it looks like the issue is a carboned up Throttle body. I have now removed the throttle body, and, as expected it was certainly in need of a good clean. Now to my problem where I am in need of some advice. Is it possible to remove the Idle Control Screw completely from the TB to clean the seat, or is it designed just to be loosened and then readjusted down to the proper setting. I have attempted to remove it but it just spins on the threads when almost out. Cheers and thanks in anticipation of your responses.
The Air bleed screw has an o ring on it which is why it isnt coming out. I wouldnt bother about removing it just give the throttle body a good soak in cleaner.
