Any experience with this Russian made limited slip differentials? Not much said here in North America on it. By the sounds of it these are a copy of the original Gleason Torsen differential, which did have a good reputation back in the day (1980-90's if I recall). I think these are have four helical gears and no clutches to wear out.

SUZUKI JIMNY SAMURAI 84-2018 GEN-2-3 REAR SCREW Diff Lock NRF CD15 ATB LSD

LSD Limited slip differential for REAR axle All-years
SUZUKI JIMNY SAMURAI Generation II+III 1984-2018
Main Gear D-108mm 10-NUTS; 26-SPLINE, Matching ARB RD208.

DIMENSIONS PLAN mm/qty
Main Gear bolts center-to-center dimensions D1 130
Main Gear bolts qty 10
Main Gear bolts diameter 10,4
Main Gear landing diameter D2 108
Neck diameter under bearing D3 45,28
Distance between bearing set planes L1 91
Neck offset L2 19
Total length L3 129
Main Gear offset L4 18
Semi-axle shaft diameter D4 32
Number of splines 26
Modul 1
Spline top tooth angle 45

LOCKING coefficient - 80% - Depends on constant spiral angle and can't be changed or adjusted. While spinning wheel revs 10, loaded one does 8. NEVER FULL LOCK!
PRELOAD - 100Nm. Internal disc spring tension. The more preload - the tougher wheels are locking. Also makes operation smoot and quite. ZERO PRELOAD set-up or spare springs are available upon request.

QUAIFE type - automatic diff lock, also called Geared, TorSen-2 type B, Helical, Parallel, ATB (Automatic Torque-Biasing). Seamlessly transfers torque from spinning wheel to one having more traction, never full locking unlike "lock-right" or plated disc type.

I'm not aware of anyone running one. The link you provided isn't working, but my understanding of the Gleason Torsen diff (now Zexel Torsen) is it requires the spinning wheel to be braked to be effective. Unless this is done they're a fairly generic LSD typically used by manufacturers to tune handling.

In the HMMWV (with front and rear Torsen diffs) the drivers are trained to stand on both pedals if the vehicle starts on bog which brings the diffs close to locking. I have experienced this myself, my Dad had a H1. The other side of the coin is the Torsens have pretty small gears in them and are fairly fragile. the helical gears in the rear diff of his H1 failed and the rear diff would bind on long corners. He replaced both Torsens with ARB air lockers.

I assume you're interested in an LSD for snow? There's very little market for LSD's locally, we're mostly a locker market.

Yes, you are correct, I was thinking of the LSD for ice/snow roads.
Hmmmmm...might need to reconsider..as you say, those helical gears would be extra small in a tiny zuk diff. LSD would probably be good for the ice/snow roads but may disappoint for off road 4x4ing and fragile.

I'm waiting for one from zookoffroad for my GV. Apparently made in Russia 4xfourart. Thanks to covid been waiting about 5 months.
They have posted videos of it in action and appears to work well when lifting wheels.
