What's the costs like to run the heap of a hyundai?
~$100 per year club fees ~$80 per year cams licence
$75? per race day entry fees $10 - $20 in fuel for the day Car is not regoed and we have free transport to events care of a friendly rival who drives a future removal truck that the two cars can fit in.
A friend and I run the same car which makes it far more entertaining to race and work on, rather than going it alone.
Jump on the CAMS calendar and have a search for non speed events in you area. Will be worth going along for a look and meeting some people.

There's a motorkhana on this Saturday at Hidden Valley. Bit of a bugger I have to drive a fella out to Batchelor and back that day. Starts at 8:30 but I have to pick old mate up at 10.
https://namsc.org.au/civicrm/event/info?id=99&reset=1 Hopefully they are all scrutineered by then and start "racing". Looks like they charge 30 a round, so plus CAMS and club fees it could be cheaper than moto racing???

That looks like a lot of fun and cheap to do.. They used to do Holden HQ racing.. That was cheap and mods were restricted..https://www.google.com.au/search?q=HQ+r ... 4Q_AUIBigB That was pretty cheap till HQ parts started to get hard to find..

It's such a good idea to have the one make series when there are so many of the same car around. There is an excel cup still running, but it's going the same direction, with the car not being produced anymore. At least the motokahanas and hill climbs are still cheap and fun.
