Ball and I went halves in a speedway car, got the car from a buy, swap sell Facebook page for free. It apparently has a rebuilt motor in it but due the the hillbilly nature of speedway we figured that it would be best to source another motor. The rest of the car looks like it might work. Maybe. We bought a running XF ute from the scrap yard for $20, yanked out the motor and then gave the ute back to the scrap yard. Splashed out and bought some new gaskets for the motor which brings the total cost to $36 so far. Now just need to weld up a seat, do some roll cage stuff to bring it up to standard and it should be ready to crash into other cars on the track.

For speedway, three wheels MUST lock up during the brake test. Two of those are the rears, so vicegrips on the rear brakelines will see your racecar back on the trailer. How do I know? I was the scrutineer at Northline and at Yandina.
What class do you intend on racing in?

Gove runs anything that turns up on the night! It would be even worse now that Nabalco has closed down.

I was involved with the first night of speedway in Katherine.
Darwin is not full of arseholes, as such, but more so AJ's. It was the increased military presence that partly made me leave.

I didn't say arseholes I said southerners Acks the opening night in Katherine in in sept, the track is getting a $1.2 mil upgrade at the moment so should be a good night. If it is a shit night it will be balls fault cos he is the public officer.

Splashed out and bought a kirkey seat of a Facebook page for $100. Total outlay so far is $132, still on track to be racing for under $400.
