Looking at buying a hard floor camper (second hand) and would like to know if there is anything i need to look out for? as i have only ever camped in tents and swags. but now with 2 little ones it makes it a bit more harder to set up tents as they are running around so the next best thing to keep us out and about is a camper and a hard floor one looks like the best option as it is quick and easy to set up the main part. |

Hard floor campers are pretty good, I looked at heaps of second hand ones before deciding on a Chinese one. Haven't regretted the desicion, mine is a mars camper bought in Brisbane. |

Only issues I have had is a circuit breaker failed, water tank vent wasn't connected correctly and the winch got full of water and died. The one I bought is available for $11k new. Early this month I towed it around the plenty highway and also into the desert west of tennant creek. It's been a good thing. Heading to the tanimi in a fortnight with it and I might start using it for work. Biggest thing with Chinese campers is make sure it isn't a bolt on drawbar and that it has common bearings and seals. Mine is a ford seal with parallel bearings. Available everywhere |

http://marscampers.com.au/?utm_referrer ... .com.au%2F They have a factory in Brisbane but can't remember the address, will be on their web site. It weighs 1000kg so unless you are using a GV any Suzuki 4wd is going to have a temporary driveline. |
