Hi guys. Thought Id share an app I found called wikicamps. As we are all outdoorspeople I have found it to be pretty cool. You can find a camp site anywhere in oz, shows u caravan parks etc etc.. You can filter spots to be accessible by 4x4 only, dogs allowed/not allowed. Downside its cost $7.50. On the plus side you might find a free camping spot on there to get that back haha.

I use this. Very happy with it. But info can be out dated until somebody updates it.

+1 great app. Just make sure you update it from time to time, the amount of content is super impressive. The reviews system is great, makes it much easier to find those hidden gems.

I have trouble finding my hidden gems, too. Age and podgy bellies do that ;)

Whilst searching for wikicamps, I also found Fuel Map Australia! This looks very handy too.

Just did some calculating with my Hema Australia Touring Atlas and Fuel Map Australia...

1404 km from Alice Springs, NT to Kununurra, WA. some calculations and conversions result in 152 liters or 39 gallons of petrol at an average of 22MPG needed for the trip.

Fortunately, there is petrol at Halls Creek Unfortunately, the prospects for petrol between Alice Springs and Halls Creek are iffy. Also unfortunate - the Tanami Road road is unpaved...
