How long has that Galv been sitting around for? Some epic corossion happening there.

Scrub it down with white vinegar, then rinse with water.

back to it this weekend. going to wire wheel the whole frame and put on a layer or two of under coat. going to start measuring and cutting the panels.
thinking of trying to use a jig saw with a hacksaw type blade to cut the panel.

If the Jig Saw is too rough try a thin cutting disc on your grinder with the disc coated in candle wax. This is how I cut my panels, had a large candle handy and spun the disc into it before and during each cut. Makes it cut the ally like hot knife through butter.

You're welcome

Also I clamped a length of 5mm plate, about 50mm wide to the ally as a straight edge to cut against

Been looking at those for my trailer. Once my tent top gets past it.
I'd like a rear opening type, or a rear door type, so I don't have to climb over my trailers muddy wheel arches.

Bit of lost internal space too. No ideas myself apart from cutting a wheel arch out of the ally sheet to close up the gap. Would need some bracing though.

EDIT: also I'd make the inner lining only as high as need be so some usable storage space would be created above the wheel.

Its rated to 1100 kg braked. I tow my 4.6 m quintrex with a 60 hp honda no worries. Just have to ditch the 52mm 2" towball it comes with. 350 kg un braked.

yeh it got buried in the shed for cyclone preparedness while i went on holidays only just getting round to de cyclone preping so i can actually move in the shed.
on the other hand i need to sort out what im doing for the doors/ tailgate. dont know if i should do 1 door to the left and right of the generator, or do one big door at the end over the draw bar that just comes off as a single piece. have decided to leave the wheel arches looking massively oversize and in the future they'll get filled up with tool chest kinda things.
