Hi folks, apparently the electronics in my throttle body has fried (engine warning light on, no cruise control and running thirsty). Looking online for a replacement I can find a TB for a 2010 but nothing for a 2011. I’ve seen two types: cardone 36236xk and Cardone 6E3018. But if someone can point me in the right direction of a solid alternative at a (hopefully) reasonable price I would be muchly appreciative. All helpful suggestions gratefully received. Cheers Greg |

Hopefully, I'm not out of line, but what makes you think the electronics in the throttle body have "fried"? I'm not familiar with the 3.2, but, on the smaller Suzuki engines, it's a "drive-by-wire" throttle system, and if mine "fried" I would expect to not be able to drive the vehicle. The cruise control is disabled for any check engine light issue, so that is not a pointer to failed throttle body electronics, and, at least in my mind, neither is running thirsty - maybe if the MAF is integrated into the throttle body (it isn't on my car) What codes are you getting? |

Not out of line at all. I’m pretty much a newbie with this one so I appreciate any advice. I can’t tell you the codes as my mechanic hasn’t told me what the reader spat out. It was a while back but he said I could pop in and he’ll get the codes again. I’ll check if the MAF is integrated into the throttle body (unless anyone wants to fill in the blanks). Cheers Greg |
