Can anyone confirm if a G13bb water pump assembly will bolt straight on to a G13ba?

Doing my alternator upgrade and wondering if a complete assembly out of a 99-00 Jimny will bolt on.
That will give me my multi-rib pulley that I’m having trouble sourcing, while also giving a viscous fan and replace my noisy water pump as a bonus.

Assuming the water pump is the same, just not sure about the timing belt tensioner.

Using the US market Swift parts catalogs - water pump is the same part number, and so are belt tensioner pulleys.

Thanks mate.
I’m still trawling through local parts catalogs and it’s looking more like they’re not interchangeable.

G13a and G13ba are all good (though there are differences in the timing belts).
So far it seams G13b and G13bb are slightly different.

We had a bit of a thing here in AU a while ago and a lot of wreckers crushed pre 1999 vehicles, so our matching swifts are getting harder to find.
The 99-00 Jimnys are still reasonably plentiful and I thought it was worth seeing if there was another option for people doing alternator upgrades.

I did find 1 old swift for the crank pulley today and looks like I might have just found a G16a water pump and fan as well this evening. Fingers crossed it all comes together tomorrow.

So I didn’t end up getting the 99-00 Jimny water pump, but I did grab the pulley.

I think now I’ve found the difference in water pumps.
It appears the G13bb must be about 5 or 6mm shorter, perhaps to fit the viscous fan?

This is the G13ba pulley in the center, G16a on the left and G13bb on the right.

The whole water pump assembly swap might be an option, but just doing the pulleys is not.

Sorry mate but I don't thick tech is allowed in nood talk
Looks like you have nutted it out. According to Repco, the TF8270 water pump only suits G13BB Jimny..

Has it occurred to you that the differences may not be engine specific - just as an example - you're defining the vee pulley in the center as a a G13ba pulley, and a G13ba is generally considered to be the 8v SOHC 1298cc variant of the G13 engines. I had a Swift with an 8v SOHC, 1298cc engine, and it had a multirib belt, which I'm fairly certain used the pulley on the right, that you're describing as a G13bb pulley, with the G13bb being the 16v SOHC 1298 cc engine.

Yes, I do think it’s vehicle specific, that’s why I’m saying the 99-00 Jimny.

I was doing my alternator upgrade pulley searching roughly based on the old upgrade thread on here.

But as I found out (after driving around to a bunch of wreckers) not all G13ba swifts are the same.
I called and checked the motors in each one before going to get the crank pulley off it. Every single one was a 5 bolt crank.
Eventually I found out the change was (sometime around) 94 that the swifts G13ba changed to 5 bolt.
