Hey every one my names tom I’m 16 and I have a 1978 lj81k which I’m putting back on the road and I need some help changing the gear box oil mainly putting it in how do I do this and what oil should I be using and I need to know what oil to put in diffs and transfer case thanks in advance for any help u can provide Tom |

Download the LJ80 service manual, it will have all the information you want on these subjects. The gearbox filler plug is up near the steering box, it's really awkward to get at if it's still got its 4 sided plug. http://www.suzuki4x4.net/manual/ Personally I've tried quite a few different oils and I like Castrol VMX-M 75w-85 for the gearbox but discussing the best oil is like arguing about religion or politics. |

80/90 penrite oil for gearbox and diffs, as per the manual |

Ok thanks a lot mate I was just looked ng in the Manuel but was haveing trouble finding it would u know what’s the best oil for the engine thanks Tom |
