normal thread. need a 800nm+ rattle gun. worst case -> grind a groove in it and cold chisel it |

800nm+ WOW that's a lot of torque, I'll try the groove and chisel. Thanks Aircobra101. |

800? no way. Maybe for a fully sealed type bearing. 400nm from memory for a Prado. 800nm on 2 taper bearings would crush the cages and jam the hub up if the nut threads didn't let go first. Wheel bearing nuts will be normal right hand thread, Left loosy, righty tighty. |

something like this https://www.bunnings.com.au/kincrome-ai ... h_p6270670 https://www.bunnings.com.au/kincrome-ai ... h_p6270672 https://www.bunnings.com.au/ryobi-airwa ... h_p6210629 570nm is not bad for the price, but no guarantees if your vehicle is immobile, go to the local tyre shop, leave them a $300 deposit and borrow the gun heating it up is a bit of a con since the nut expands in ALL direction, including onto the shaft |

They're normal thread. Get a big cheater bar, put the handle on the ground and drive the car? Or have an assistant stand on the brake whilst you reef on it. Mine actually came off relatively easily. The best solution is pull the king pins out, remove the whole assembly, apply it to a bin and fit Sierra disc brake swivel hubs! |

Car stripped, no brakes. The best solution is pull the king pins out, remove the whole assembly, apply it to a bin and fit Sierra disc brake swivel hubs! That's what I'm doing |

800nm is to undo the nut. who's talking about crushing bearings? |
