Hi people I was wondering what people would surest for exhaust pipe diameter it is for a 1978 lj81 it has the original 0.8L 800cc donk in it

Stock is 1.5" until the first muffler, then progressively smaller diameter from there. The tailpipe is like 1" OD.

Mine's 1.5" all the way through. I'll go 2" all the way through one of these days, not to "upgrade" the size or anything. Just because it matches my extractors, I have new 2" pipe sitting around and my exhaust needs rerouting.

Ok so if u were doing a new exhaust pipe would u go1.5” or 2” as I’m going to be making a hole new system and would u go straight through or does it not do any thing

It makes a bad sound.

2” is massive overkill

I'd go 1.75" to the muffler with 1.5" tail pipe.
2" is unnecessary and just sounds like a fart ... ...
