Hi, I picked up my brand spanking new Jimny yesterday (so much happy!!) and today I started pulling out the back seats. I've got the back rests out but I can't figure out how to unclip the base section! Does anyone know of a thread or pics of a seat removal? The ones I've found are for older models and it doesn't appear to be similar.

Thanks!

Hey mate this article goes over the removal of the seats step by step: http://www.danbp.org/w/Installation_of_ ... zuki_Jimny

If you are on the bit im thinking of, the bottom of the seat needs to be pulled up with a fair bit of force to unclip it from the pressure plate thing it clips in to.

Thanks TasmanSam! The top half is already gone so I'll look for the base clips.

Haha, Jezza86, the force is weak in this one..

Cheers, N.

Yeah I pulled the seats out of a late model jimny and all it takes is a bit of force. You will get left with a locating bolt on either side of the car and I don't think you can get these out unless you want to grind them off. I left mine. I pushed/screwed a cork from a bottle of cheap bubbly on one of them and I'm waiting to get brave enough to buy another bottle to do the other one
