Hi all,
I'm very new to this forum and after a lot of searching I'm still unsure of the conclusive answer. I just purchased a 92' model LWB Vitara and it needs new tyres. I want to put 215/75 r15 muddies on and I have no suspension or body lift. I want to use the standard Vitara rims and I need to know, A: will the tyres stay within the wheel arches and B: will they scrub at all. Thanks in advance.

Yeah you'll be just fine =)

chuck a locker in the back and it'll be nearly unstoppable compared to lots of other 4wds.

Cool. That's what I wanted to hear. Didn't want to have to fork out for new rims as well as I'm saving for a lift kit next. And yeah, would love a rear locker.

If you have no lift in the front there will probably be no scrubbing at all with a 215/75R15. With a lift in the front you might find the tyres will rub on the chassis at full lock but that isn't a disastrous problem. That was my experience pre and post-lift anyway.

Suggest when you get your lift kit you get camber bolts at same time, the factory static camber setting is not ideal and it gets worse with any lift, but camber bolts make it better...it is possible to set it yourself, or any front end alignment place can do it (you have to reset toe-in anyway after fitting the lift kit).

Thanks guys. I ended up getting some Hankook 215/75r15 muddies. Can't wait to get the Vit registered and try them out.
