G'day, I have stripped the lower bolt of my jimny rear shock. I know the bolt is a M12x70 metric hex head bolt, what is the best place to buy the replacement bolt? Currently BigJimny Shop sells it for $5 a pop plus $10 shipping. I also saw some 10 packs from eBay uk but they are just stainless steel and I worry about the quality of eBay listings in general. |

DO NOT!!!! Use stainless bolts!! Most are not rated, and will be of far lower strength ( both tensile and shear ) than the OEM bolt. Go to your local bolt/ industrial fasteners shop, and get new ones in either Grade 8, or Grade 10. Take your old one in so they can match the thread pitch. ( will probably be fine thread.. M12x1.5 ) |

I buy a lot from this bloke: http://www.boltsnutsscrewsonline.com/ Convenient for me when I'm doing FIFO, when I get home to work on my zook it's all sitting in a bag good to go. Great range, it he doesn't list it he'll usually get it in for you anyway. Budget prices for grade 8 and above compared to blister pack retail. |

Can someone with a spare bolt on hand tell me what the pitch is for this bolt? I measured it to be 1.25, but just want to confirm for sure. |
