its on a cable so i dont think it should stop you dropping the gearbox first |

According to the manual you disconnect the end of the cable and it comes free then lower away ................. |

Where do I disconnect it? The car is a mess and I can't see jack shit around the shifter |

from what i remember the cable runs to the bottom of the shifter and there is a clevis pin |

Cheers mate. I got the cable of he end of the shifter, hopefully it won't be stuck to anything else. The vitara is a horrible thing to get in, worst stinking car I have had to deal with. It is truly revolting, can't believe the fella drove it around with a young baby in it. The sooner I can drag it out the back and set it on fire the better. |

The poxy thing still won't come out. I will give it anouther try and if I can't get it the plasma is gunna get used
