I need to replace a sierra cv and haven't much of a clue on how to do it. The workshop book I have says to use a cv boot.

Being internal, I didn't think they'd need it, and I've never heard or read anyone using it.

Please enlighten me :)

Nope AFAIK only a few vehicles like g wagons have cv boots on internal CV's, to do it you take off wheel undo hub and pretty much keep undoing everything on your way in until you hit the cv/axle then pull it out. Make you you pack it full of grease when you put it back in, also probably worth replacing your inner axle seal while you are at it.

No boots on sierra cv's. Pretty simple stuff.
