How do ya get the big yellow fuse out off the fuse holder under the bonnet of a 1992ish vitara? |

If it is the 80A one it is bolted in and doesn't pull out like the others. |

Looks to be around 800 amp to me. Where is the bolt that holds it in?

It had me stumped for a while on mine too, But it should be on the side of the fuse holder. I think it's an 8 or 10mm. It's the main fuse for the alternator yeah? |

Yup - it's M6 so 10mm socket will fit. Gotta unscrew the fuse panel out to remove it. It's a Male fusible link and looks like this: ![]() It's the main fusible link - the smaller of the 2 leads from the battery +ve terminal go into this (bigger fat cable to starter motor solenoid). The alternator is connected to the LOAD side of the main fusible link and is un-fused from there to the alternator output post. There is a common busbar inside the fuse block from the LOAD side of the main fusible link which supplies the smaller fusible links which go to the fuse box inside the cab. |
