How do ya get the big yellow fuse out off the fuse holder under the bonnet of a 1992ish vitara?

If it is the 80A one it is bolted in and doesn't pull out like the others.

Looks to be around 800 amp to me. Where is the bolt that holds it in?

It had me stumped for a while on mine too, But it should be on the side of the fuse holder. I think it's an 8 or 10mm.

It's the main fuse for the alternator yeah?

Yep that's it, the one with a nut jammed in it. No it wasn't me that put it there

Yup - it's M6 so 10mm socket will fit. Gotta unscrew the fuse panel out to remove it.

It's a Male fusible link and looks like this:

It's the main fusible link - the smaller of the 2 leads from the battery +ve terminal go into this (bigger fat cable to starter motor solenoid). The alternator is connected to the LOAD side of the main fusible link and is un-fused from there to the alternator output post. There is a common busbar inside the fuse block from the LOAD side of the main fusible link which supplies the smaller fusible links which go to the fuse box inside the cab.
