Hey guys,
I was thinking today that cvs bust pretty often, but dont OFTEN hear about Jim cvs going. Im sure they do just as much as you SJ blokes, so not starting a war there.
but i was wondering, where do you source fresh cvs for the Jim's for the day that i do bust one? My usual google/ebay search didnt really come up with many winners.

I have heard that 1L cv fit and work well. Haven't tried myself and very unlikely I will

Buy my cromos so you won't bust them ever but I've always got mine 2nd hand from suzistore, but 1l CVS will work to.

am i right in saying that you are just replacing the joint on these? not the whole shaft/axle?

Axle shaft is longer on Jimnys. You just use the CV.
I have seen some on eBay before. May have been from SuziStore? Dunno. Other than that, some exy ones from Suzuki? Haha

Highway-Star might still have a few 1l CVs, us LJ guys fit them to LJ axles so we can fit Sierra hubs (complete with disc brakes and FWH) and he had some spares.

Yeah the jimny CV's are a tad shorter. The chromos are obviously a stronger material and made bigger, they JUST squeeze in the knuckle ball.
