I am currently overhauling/dismantling sierra front and rear diffs (both WT and NT).

What cleaning solution should I apply to the diff housings (externally and internally) to restore to original glory?

Can I apply the same application to the drive-axle assembly?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I will upload images at a later date to assist others with such a re-build.

I use supercheap $2 spray degreaser cans to get the worst off then I use truckwash from supercheap with a toilet type scrubbing brush and then a karcher pressure cleaner. Compressed air to blow water off then some $2 supercheap dewatering spray.

I use kero or parts wash so don't have to use water which can perform rust inside the diff if you don't get it all out.
