Post subject:  Lj muffler!
The muffler is missing from my Lj80, can't find an Lj muffler, will a Sierra muffler fit and/or affect it any differently?

The exhaust from my LJ81 is roughly the same diameter (haven't measured) as the exhaust fitted to my 1L sierra (which given the various clearance issues, I'd say is meant to be for a WT).

Which section of the exhaust are you missing mate? If it's the front half then you can have mine (in good condition I'm pretty sure), if it's the rear half then I can't really help you as mine's for a LWB.

Even if you were to get a whole new exhaust made at an exhaust place, you should get change from $400 inc fitting ect.

I have about 30-40cm of tailpipe at the back and from extractors to past halfway along the tub at the front! Think I'm only missing the actual muffler.

So you have no mufflers at all? there should be 2. A cute little one under the passengers floor(on a vehicle with extractors it'd be right on the end on them but I imagine most people who got extractors got rid of that little muffler) and a larger one just before the rear axle.

Just take your car to an exhaust shop and get them to make the bit that's missing, wont cost much at all.

If you love your hearing, get them to make it as quiet as possible, a load exhaust at highway revs (5000-6000rpm) will really suck. My super quiet exhaust is agonizing on the freeway.

x2. I can hardly hear mine is on at idle but on the highway talking to the passenger is like "WHAT DID YOU SAY?!?!"

The larger muffler is missing with abit of the exhaust pipe on the tail end! Will get on to an exhaust shop! Thanks for the replies!
