I'd like some longer rear springs too because my 2" extended rear shackles are very vertical. |

Any progress on this, I was going to cut and move my shackle mountsto get a better shackle angle but putting in new springs would be easier. Nik |

Put your rear springs in the front? then those mazda 808 springs sound like they would work well in the rear. Or get just custom mains made to your required length & stick the rest of your current leaves under em. This is my flex with my current RUF setup.
I'm running MQ fronts in the rear but they are 60mm so yeah prob a bit heavy. |

my best is still at the shop. but i checked out the angle of my shackels, it looks like it could in vert alot more, i think its just my shocks that are stoping the down travel. ill also be opening up the clip and dont a eclipitic rear.. WOOHOO FOR flex |

the good thing about the mazda springs is they have large bushes. alot of people will go a longer leaf without considering a larger bush......always use rubber or bonded. |

Can any mainstream spring shop source these packs? I'm thinking of getting a couple of packs and using the main leaf with my 2"ome rears. Problem with that is the ome shocks will severely limit droop. Guess I'll be going back to the cheap gabriels. |

Got another Q. Running standard shackles in the back (got extended in the front and the back still sits higher grrrr). My current shackle angle with 2 inch lift is pretty well verticle. The 808s at an extra 50mm length would get me a relatively healthy angle right? Would the 323s at an extra 100mm put the angle too far back? I'm not really sure how the additional length of the spring would effect the eye to eye length once you take the arch into account. |

not sure, but you have to make sure your second spring is as long as the main- or your going to bend the main. i'd use the main and second from the mazda stuff. |

if ya got a WT you can put the rear in the front without doin a chasis extension. You redrill the rear mounts back 20mm and run a longer shackle. Everything bolts up and back to its original position. |

Yep, already done that. I'm looking for some longer rears. I called repco today (prob not the best source) and the girl was going to get back to me re the 808's but she's given me no love. Will have to ring some of the bigger suspension mobs and get them to track me some down. |

Alrighty then, the places I've rung show no listing for lates 70s 808s or 323s. I've been told it would have to be a custom job. I'm guessing the regular sources don't make them anymore which means I'll have to check out the wreckers. I hate lying in the mud at the wreckers trying to crack rusted 30 year old bolts |

LMAO calling around and finally deciding I'll have to get some from a wreckers I thought "I don't even know what an 808 or 323 wagon looks like" at which point I stood up to stretch and looked out my office window. That car on the left is not only a Mazda 323 wagon but actually my GFs sister's car which I've driven.......this is why my boss tells me I'm brain dead daily...... |
