OK, tanks is in, HP lines all round. Thanks Blu.
How much pressure is the system anyway? Seems strange that they require high pressure lines, but use those crappy "spring type" hose clamps.
Sumps have been cut. I'll take it to a welder on Monday to get TIG'd.

Um..... That what Suzuki use on the Gv's, shift's, Sx4's, Jimny's, Apv's, you get the idea.
Thay work fine as long as the clamp & hose is suited for the application..

Do I need to run high pressure lines for supply and return? Or can I run normal lines for return?
It would be fine to use the factory low pressure supply line (the metal one on chassis) as a return as the return is not under pressure.

alot of people run the factory steel lines, for both supply and return.
I have run this for more than 3 years.

Yes, I'm using the existing steel lines. Just new HP lines at both ends.
At $30 per meter, I wouldn't want to have to do the whole lot

I cut them with a jigsaw, then spent ages with a hand file to get it fitting nicely.

Anyone got the part number for the rear gearbox seal?
Ripco ordered in the wrong one for me...
And which VL Dunnydoor engine mounts have people used?
Left, right, rear, 6 cyl, 8cyl? They didn't have any there for me to look at.

Thanks Steaks, I ordered one from there this arvo.
Also got new clutch cable, gearbox bushes, and gearbox plugs (cos I had to chisel one out )
Those mounts look good Phil, I'll get some of them too
Here's my very flash machined flywheel:
And my pink HD clutch:
All bolted together

Good luck with the pink HD clutch. I am taking mine out cos I keep breaking clutch cables.
Going with standard Exedy

It's in flush with the flywheel. Might just look like that because it's new and shiny

I run a single row, double width in mine as the spigot shaft is slightly worn, like most sierra's. But to get the flywheel bolts undone, you cant just hammer it in to get them undone as a socket wont get full contact, i have a dynabolt welded to rod as a slide hammer/bearing puller. Works a treat.

Here's the welded sump, with a fresh coat of paint:
And the oil pick-up.
I cut the top off both pick-ups and fitted the Baleno top into the Sierra tube.
The support tab was also cut off the Baleno and welded onto the Sierra tube.

+2
EDIT: All the stories about broken clutch cables. I bought a spare clutch cable just incase it broke. 30,000km later, still no issues, spare clutch cable is still stored in my car.

ive had a exedy sports tuff , and now i have a custom npc racing clutch and both are light although clamp pressures vary dramatically , if you have a heavy clutch pedal you are doing it wrong (or they are)
