Incidentally I was thinking about running the coolant through a small radiator (similar in size to the heater core) in the engine bay when the heaters off and coolant diverted away from the heater core. Haven’t got too much planned yet but it was a though
I’ve also taken rough temperature readings at several spots on the G16B in a Baleno running at full temp. At some point I’m hoping to get similar readings from one in a Sierra with the usual setup and again with the three way tap setup. Just to see if there’s anything it can tell us

Worst case mount the rad upside down on the roof with 4 spoilers directing straight into it !

I’ve never been convinced about the fit of the vitara radiator, especially with power steering.

Bumstein knows our weather down here in the summer. Our beaches our extremely soft and work motors hard, I had little to no problems with heat at all thanks to it, couldn't say the same with the Sierra rad. Of course, this is all Personal opinion, and driving to the conditions of the state/area I live in.

Is this the easy (but expensive) button for a sump? From a GV G16b, has the mount holes for the crank angle sensor and a rear hump. I am swapping into a maruti and don’t have a donor 1.3L sump so if this is a bolt on solution it’s probably worthwhile. https://www.ebay.com/itm/393147443927
