A safety point here guys. If you are rewiring the headlights you should fuse each side seperately. Not high and low beam. Point is that if a fuse blows you only lose one headlight not both.

Yeah that diagram is wrong, the wires have been crossed over between plugs, use my diagram thats here somewhere

Also most Hi and Low beam HID kits come with a separate battery supply, so you don't need to fit relays.

I don't agree about left and right fuses either, just fuse high and low beam, if one blows switch to the other.
Its also a massive amount of work to fuse left and right once you fit relays, you either need twice as many relays or make them negative switch which ups the amount of cable you use a lot

ok thanks royce. i have HID hi low head lights already fitted so i just have to wire up the rely for some spotties

i didnt read whole thread but i had simmilar issues i bought a narva kit with a polarity reverser on it with is designed to run on veichles with suzukis type of high low beam setup was bout 80 dollars at supercheap pretty much plug and play setup too just had to shorten a few wires

Hi Guys,

I know this has been flogged to death but I'm not great with this stuff.

I just wanted to check that if I do the wiring as above basically the spotties will come on if and when I flick the spotties switch with or without the lights/highbeam on. Oh and I'm not going to blow anything up?

Not wiring in high beam spotties, though.
Doing a low beam triggered light.
But all basically the same, except the trigger wire will earth through low beam.

Apologies for the horrific gravedig, but I feel keeping my related post together is probably better over creating a new thread on the same thing.

As Marked mentioned on the previous page, the GV3 headlight plugs are different to the older zooks, having 2pin instead of 3. Took me a while of research I am still not quite sure how Marked wired his spotties up in the end but pretty certain it's not like how I have planned - Can someone help check to see whether the below (inside the blue dotted line) would work?

The last time I wired up spotties was over 20yrs ago.. with my dad on his old troopy. My highschool self managed to melt a good portion of the steering column harness. Dad wasn't too happy.

I'd like to avoid the same happening to my own car if possible so if my diagram makes sense to others, I'll go ahead and cautiously try it out..
